Wambach, Lloyd score, but Flash fall short in Washington

The Washington Spirit beat the Western New York Flash on Saturday night, falling 3-2 at the Maryland SoccerPlex. Both Abby Wambach and Carli Lloyd scored for the Flash in the game, but two goals in a seven-minute span led the home team to the victory. It was the first time the Flash were beaten by the Spirit in their six all-time meetings.
